How does Second Serve collect restaurants extra food?
We aim to donate food from each restaurant at least once a week, or on a schedule that works best for each business partner. We aim to make donations as simple as possible and not disrupt a businesses daily operations.
How do I become a volunteer or partner?
You can get involved by visiting out get involved page, where you will find information on volunteering, donating, and partnering with us as well as a form to fill out so we can contact you.
Can by business get recognition for donating?
Yes. Partner businesses are featured on out website and instagram as a thank you for helping reduce fod waste and supporting local communities in need.
Who receives the food?
Donations go to local families, youth, and individuals in need through community organizations, shelters, and direct distributions.

What types of food can I donate?
We accept unopened, unexpired packaged foods as well as fresh, safe to eat food from restaurants, bakeries, or grocery stores.Â
Can I donate expired foods?
No. For safety reasons, we do not accept expired or spoiled food. All donated food must be safe to eat.
